Safety and Security

The Granada is committed to safety and security.  Our ten story building is whistle clean and tremendously secure. Every room is protected by smoke detectors and automatic sprinklers.  We have our own electrical back-up system to furnish emergency lighting in case of a power failure.  Guests' telephones, which are connected to the 24-hour switchboard at the front desk, also function as an emergency life safety system.  The front desk monitors an enunciator panel that alerts the desk clerk to any emergency any place in the building, particularly to the presence of fire or smoke.  The desk clerk also monitors access to the building, which is kept locked at all times.
